Our School strives not only for academic excellence but also for the over all development of our young scholar. Our young Josephites are given ample opportunities to participate in wide range of co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Our aim is to bring up the hidden and unexplored talents to give our nation a better future.
We encourage our students to participate in events like debate which helps them to conclude on the basis of situation either logical or factual. Debate is an interactive argument based on deductive reasoning which only examines whether a conclusion is justified or not. Though logical consistency, factual accuracy and some degree of emotional appeal to the audience are important elements of the art of persuasion, in debating, one side often prevails over the other side by presenting a superior "context" and/or framework of the issue, which is far more subtle and strategic. The outcome of a debate depends upon consensus or some formal way of reaching a resolution, rather than the objective facts as such. In a formal debating contest, there are rules for participants to discuss and decide on differences, within a framework defining how they will interact.
Speaking in front of a group mass or public, there are several situations where good public speaking skills can help you advance your career and create opportunities. Students may have to talk about their presentation at a conference, make a speech after accepting an award. Good public speaking skills are important in other areas of your life, as well. You need a good public speaking to inspire a group of volunteers at an event. Public speaking is the process and act of speaking or giving a lecture to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain a listening audience. Public speaking is commonly understood as face-to-face speaking between individuals and an audience for the purpose of communication. It is closely related to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, Public speaking is to persuade the audience. At SJC we strive to enable each and every student to get adapted for public speaking.
Our range of Science museum visits and practical workshops inspire students and give them the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills. Information technology (IT) is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data. Most of the business are heavily dependent on the Information Technology and we at SJC educate our students at inception level to lay a foundation stone for them so that they can be upbeat with the information techonolgy.
